and more news that surprises absolutely no one GM expanded their recall scope again. Now the total vehicles recalled is over 28 million strong

Cadillac CTS and SRX, and the Chevrolet Malibu, Monte Carlo and Impala, as well as the Oldsmobile Intrigue and Alero, and Pontiac Grand Am and Grand Prix. The model years range from 1997 to 2014.

The biggest thing you'll see here? That no one cares. There will be the "WHY IS GM STILL ALIVE BAILOUT GUNS MERICA OBAMA UNIONS BENGAZI" crowd, and then the 95% of GM owners who were never ACTUALLY stranded by their car, but will either get it repaired or go in and buy a new car because it was time to upgrade anyways and now there are good deals (see: recent sales figures).
Also, seriously. How are they recalling vehicles made 18 years ago. If they're still on the road (and not many of that era GM cars are) chances are something else is going to fail before the ignition switch will at this point.

...and in other news, The GM recall for ignition switches has been expanded again to include Ford (all cars since 1967). Chrysler (all cars since 1972). American Motors (all cars ever sold).
